Surah Al-Humazah (The Traducer, الهمزة) is the 104th surah of the Noble Quran — a Meccan surah of 9 verses. Read it below in Arabic with the English translation of Marmaduke Pickthall, and listen verse by verse to famous Egyptian reciters.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

104:1

وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍۢ لُّمَزَةٍ ١

Woe unto every slandering traducer,

104:2

ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًۭا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ ٢

Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it.

104:3

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ ٣

He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal.

104:4

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ ٤

Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One.

104:5

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ ٥

Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is!

104:6

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ ٦

(It is) the fire of Allah, kindled,

104:7

ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ ٧

Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men).

104:8

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌۭ ٨

Lo! it is closed in on them

104:9

فِى عَمَدٍۢ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ ٩

In outstretched columns.
