Surah Al-'Adiyat (The Courser, العاديات) is the 100th surah of the Noble Quran — a Meccan surah of 11 verses. Read it below in Arabic with the English translation of Marmaduke Pickthall, and listen verse by verse to famous Egyptian reciters.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

100:1

وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبْحًۭا ١

By the snorting courses,

100:2

فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ قَدْحًۭا ٢

Striking sparks of fire

100:3

فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًۭا ٣

And scouring to the raid at dawn,

100:4

فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًۭا ٤

Then, therewith, with their trail of dust,

100:5

فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا ٥

Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe),

100:6

إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌۭ ٦

Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord

100:7

وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌۭ ٧

And lo! he is a witness unto that;

100:8

وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ ٨

And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent.

100:9

۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ ٩

Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth

100:10

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ ١٠

And the secrets of the breasts are made known,

100:11

إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ ١١

On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them.
